Student Parking Problem
A major issue has emerged in recent months for local traders, the public and Cityside shopping centre. High numbers of Ulster University students have been using the customer car park at Cityside to park their cars. Mark from Cityside has confirmed that 100's of students each day are using Cityside carpark and this is having a huge negative impact for local business' and members of the general public who cannot find a car parking spaces at the shopping centre during the trading day. As a result Ulster University have agreed to take further action such as taking steps to issue a large leaflet drop warning students not to park their cars in the shopping centre car park.

Lancaster Street Car Park
Due to essential maintenance, Belfast City Council will be temporarily closing the Lancaster Street Car Park for two days.
An on site poster reads as follows: "Due to essential maintenance, this car park will close on Thursday 22 and Friday 23 August. Please remove your car by 6pm on Wednesday 21 August as this car park will be closed off. For information on nearby carparks, go to www.belfastcity.gov.uk/carparks"

Locals Take A Stand Against Noisy Car Club
On Tuesday 19th September 2023 local residents, political rep and council rep attended the Car Club at the North Side ParknRide Car Park, 26 Shipbuoy Street, Belfast BT15 1DA site to show opposition against the level of loud car and backfiring noise disruption that has been reported regularly from the site.
On Tuesday 26th September 2023 local residents and political rep JJ Magee co-ordinated with PSNI to arrange for Shipbuoy Street to be closed, thus preventing the car club from engaging in any noise disruption.
